Why increase the rental so much???

Recently my house received a letter which give me to renew the rental of my flat...(i currently staying in one room flat) ok so i went to hdb and they check our paylist and doing the updating data and they found out that we earn $3000 and above....and immediately she say our rent increase to $120 from $26 to that $120....wow too much already that need to consider that i have parents to support and we need to pay their medical bills which already cost alot cos not only one doctor they see afew someone for my dad....wow really have a burden to put in my shoes. We also though of buyin a resales flat.....but at least they give us sometimes to settle the things and let us pay the same amount for the time being mah rite....u though apply a flat that easy de meh?? especially me and my siblings dun have saving de...haiz......

my cousin went to see MP duno how many times end up also the same thing.
his case was, he sold his 3 room flat bcos his wife could not get along with their neighbour.. to the extent that both wana kill each other, even took out the chopper.
so hdb knows that he got money in his cpf after selling the flat, and said wat according to the law, he cannot rent a flat within 30 months (cant really remember) after selling his flat.
so in the end he got very bek check and was desperate for a place to stay, so he bought a one room flat with all his cpf money. -
say who also like that the fact is already like this...haiz....no choice have to hurry up find a apartment soon. or else pay the stupid rent for this type of house.....Originally posted by FireIce:who ur MP? -

Because they always screw up in investments abroad and have to recover so much...!
