If we need to continuously pay the leedar more ever higher salary so that they do not succumb to corruption, the leaders have no integrity. You mean if we dont increase the pay from 1.2 million to 2.2 million, these ministars would turn corrupt?

Look at the law. Yar Singapore is clean, but remove all those fines, how many ppl will continue to look for dustbins just because they wanted to? Yar maybe i am assuming and we will never know the exact figure, but i can say it will not look good.
And there are many many other things, too much to list.
Not saying all ministers will be corrupt if you pay them less, but maybe they just think that money is a more effective way here.
