  For all here who are ethnic chinese, don't forget 50-60-70 years ago, many many chinese came over .. and we are the decendents.

  I think the context of the current migrant are different, current trend is for life style. able to move out of china is also a social status especially to move to a develop country, And it is not to say we forget our roots, but thru the cost of political changes, our grandparent etc...stay on.   Be a skeptic. Think.
  To get pink IC, need to be Singapore Citizen.
  For PRC to get Singapore Citizenship, need to apply and qualify. Also need to renounce citizenship of origin country. Need to show proof. Usually the original passport is cancelled.
  So the PRC gal go back to China on Singapore Passport as a Singaporean.
  
  She has been in Singapore seven years. How long did her husband return to China? When did she buy a house? It a house not an HDB flat, correct? She apply 2 year visa. What visa? For Singaporean to visit China?
  
  Is she rich/welloff enough to buy a private house?
  Did she get citizenship on that reason?
  Did she have a family nucleus?
  Did not the husband's return to China spoil her chances of citizenship?
  
  Be circumspec with what you hear.
  She rents her house, is her business.
  Her likes and dislikes is also her business.
