This is a small excerpt taken from the young pap's blog on why we should pay ministers millions. granted, this is only a small part of her reply, but i think it reflects something condescending about her attitude.
"Also, you talk about Public Service, who do You want in Public Service? A simple teacher or taxi driver to serve You and Me? Or someone who has the foresight and acumen, and of [b]strong moral standing to take us into the future? The Shin Corp incident is a commercial transaction; you should not be so confused as to link it with politics. "
I would like to remind her that once upon a time, a simple teacher named Confucius did not get any PSC scholarships or was paid millions, yet he influenced an entire civilisation with his moral standing and philosophy.

I believe it is compared to the ministers.Originally posted by hisoka:teachers are not public servants?
the statement is wrong whether you campare theteachers to the ministers or not. he/she questioned whether we want to have a teacher in public service instead when a teacher is already a public servant.Originally posted by mistyblue:I believe it is compared to the ministers.
Reading the blogger, I suddenly have the urge to prostrate myself, burn some incense to our ministers and burn some paper money.

It bespeaks either ignorance or a lack of validation on the writer's part. And calls to question the validity and accuracy of the rest of the blog. And this error is something not something most pple will make much like the introduction of "hum" into mee siam.
LOL, I agree with you.Originally posted by mistyblue:Taxi drivers and Teachers earn a honest living for the work and their performance determines their earnings.
Of course there is no comparison to the ministers.

The ministers only need to leave their meet the people session problems to their lackeys and coolies, while they enjoy a session of hip-hopping or two.
