In UK and USA, the public has full access to the information of the personal assets and liabilities of the Prime Minister/President and all ministers in government. All Ministers in the UK have to declare their personal welath to the treasury. Anybody in England/USA can check on the assets and liabilities of Tony Blair or Bush.
How is it in Singapore such information is strictly confidential and only the prime ministers office has access to personal assets and liabilities of all ministers? If we are paying this ministers in millions each year to prevent corruption why is their personal wealth a closely guarded secret? Members of public should have full access to the personal financial information that is declared by all ministers.
Why?
Because they are not TRULY transparent, and our RIGHTS are constantly made a mockery of...
