What if 1 day PAP lose the election completely? What do you think will happen?
I think everything will still be the same lor, they will still find some way to pull the strings... afterall that time say LKY retire, then later go promote him...

They will go lawsuit. Like what the Taiwan and US is doing lah. Then they will make up ways and means to make the election illegal, forcing a re-election.
If the re-election still CMI, then army coup lor, machiam like Thailand, forcing a particular political party to take charge of the government. And then all Singapore student will continue to say in the Singapore Pledge, "....To build a DEMOCRATIC society, based on JUSTICE and equality..." -
It depend at this moment, does our invidual ministry work independent from political party. i don't remember there was any significant reform in that area to ensure continuty. Civil Servant has been working with 1 political party not sure if they are structure to work with mutilple party's interest? If one day they gone suddenly, even if there is a party who have manpower and talent to takeover fully, there will be a lot of problems in adminstration logistics, foreign investments, foreign relations etc, especially foreign relationships.
Not to mention a major crash in STI, that may take months to recover. -
It can be quite a mess if that day ever shows up..!

Next comes mayhem; there will be those mindless, and carefree people here, who will behave like unleashed dogs...
Prisons will swell up to capacity....

If one day the PAP loses the election, the truth is that Singapore will still be here standing. It is likely that the opposition will get more seats in parliament first. PAP won't just lose it at the next election..that is unlikely to happen. As the opposition becomes more powerful in parliament, better people will join them. Elections will then not be so one-sided, but more open... This is when there is a chance that PAP will lose.

Best we could hope for is that the Opps slowly but surely win more seats and we have a more 'even' Govt...... if PAP was to be 'Unseated' suddenly..... it will be total CHAOS for mths and mths.... much like thailand.....

yea... though i have a lot of unsatisfaction bout the things they implemented but i really don wish to see that singapore is being managed by the opp parties..will realy be chaotic man..
however, i hope that opp parties will take over more seats, have more control. i guess this will be benefical to us.. at least there will be fair competition going on.. we wil defintely gain more.. -

it is not impossible, i think the first few days ST index will drop, if the existing gov does not calm the market it might sprial, than it depend upon the individual ministry and existing civil servant to step up the day to day running of the gov. Than the new gov will have to live up to its expectation as compare to 1st generation and 2nd generation PAP, most unfortunate event we compared what we destroy take a look at Thailand.
