SINGAPORE : The annual salaries of the Prime Minister, ministers and top civil servants will be increased by between 14 percent and 33 percent, with the average pay rise of 25 percent.
For civil servants in general, about two-thirds of them will get between 3 percent and 5 percent pay increases.
Revealing the details in Parliament, Minister-in-Charge of the Civil Service Teo Chee Hean said the adjustments will take effect from this month, with a second revision at year's end.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong earned $2.5 million last year; after the revision, he will draw $3.1 million this year.
President SR Nathan will get $3.2 million dollars, this is up from the current $2.5 million while both Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Kwan Yew who earned $2.7 million each last year, will now get paid $3.04 million each. -

looks like they have never worked as a sales coordinator earning a measle $2K a month and scolded by the boss everyday...
they have no qualms increasing these people GST "contributions" to their own million dollars salaries and "investments" in SHIN CORPS...
they have no qualms selling these $2K a month earners HDB flats at exorbitant prices and making them indebted...

They benchmark their pays to the top earners in Singapore even after earning millions!The private sectors benchmark our pay to the foreign workers! That's how the rich become richer and the poor may become maids or domestic helpers, that unbalanced pay increase may fuel further inflation and more poverty stricken may head for the mrt track!
Please tell me how to educate our children not to be 'greedy' with money when practically almost every other day we are bombarded by a barrage of news about ministers fighting for more money! Worst still, it is in the coffee shops, market place, and in the internet! The teachers are facing an uphill task to educate the Singapore children about the real value in life!
Do you find any other nations in the world keep fighting for more money for their parlimentarians' pockets almost every other year? -

n the only thing they din tell the public..if u pple not happy, u always get out of singapore...i can always gove PR to china n india pple...LOL -

That why the PM insisted on increasing GST by 2% dead or alive. He actuli oredi calculate for his pay. The increase in GST is just an xcuse to help the poor. Oni his supporter would believe in his word. Haha
The elderly had to work so hard to support them not themselves. And the miserable increase in $50 to help the poor, not enough to support a person, don't even said a family. Even a few cents is not spare for the sake of their high pay. what high pay attracted talents, more like attracting greedy and selfcentred talent who oni care about $$$$$. That why they increase cost of living almost every year. Don't forget 66.6% is a evil Sa**** sign. Evil unleased....... -
