Why does it feel that nothing much will be done even despite the great amount of negative sentiment that is displayed so blatently? History seems to be proved true again and again....when will it change?
I believe that the people of singapore still have faith in the government. (of course, choices that we have is another matter altogether) But they are all concerned about the insignificance of what general public sentiment does to change policies that are meted out by the government. It is like a large voice that doesn't not seem to get heard. Or rather, it is heard, the matter brought to a debate, but in reality, nothing much is achieved.
So what will happen if say....ten thousand post to display their agreement. Or disagreement. Will it be sufficient to be taken notice? Or does it take half the nation to go marching on the streets with placards and banners to be noticed and acknowledged? (of course, i don't advocate that. No one sane enough would...in singapore)
Has our political clout diminished by so much?
