i apologize for the sarcasm, which is not my usual style, but our government has totally redefined "stepping down" and "retirement" altogether... it seems their arguments have been, and to some extent, always will be, whatever suits them, no matter the context nor situation. and yet, they question the aloofness of the fellow man and their disinterest to politics. -

That will actually have to depend on how ppl vote ... Those senior positions are actually superfluous , I believe that it's a tactic to by LK* to ensure that his nepotism ' policy ' work ... There's a niggling feeling that there is a rift between him and his father, many policies are speaking that tune. His remark about a 70 year old PM could be interpreted as such, but then again, it could be mere coincidences.
However, in Singapore, coincidences don't really happen, do they?
He probably needs to rise beyond and above his name. (I would suggest him to go counselling. ha ha ha....)
LKY probably would have to come to a consious decision to totally retired from speaking out loud. I mean if Singapore is to look silly for several more times other minister are not going to sit well for too long. -
