How lost are we in Singapore! -- Thinking out loud

As the debate on minister pay continues, I feel that too much emphasis has been place on dollars and cents. If we listen carefully we realized this is a persistent structure problems facing Singapore, and the current government are unable to re-solve. (I use re-solve because this is the 2nd salary hike)
As such we bring up the questions what are the root causes of these problems.
1) Small GDP ?– what have been done over the years to increase domestics disposable Income, what has been done to help local enterprise from going global thereby encourage talented individual to drive private corporate Singapore globally? Other than state own enterprise?
2) Government cannibalizes domestics resources? – over the years stress upon citizens are increasing thru reduction of CPF, national service, COE, GST hike, With the salary hike in public sector it would crowd out even more private resource how does the government going to lighten its burden when the fact that government is drawing private resources and argue dependent citizens to its government?
3) Current ministry and parliamentary system failure to address a structure problems effectively ?– it is clear that with the current negative reaction by the public the current system is not working, Have the current 1 party government took the easy way out for the structure problems? Have they explore and explore all treatments? Have they done enough review or because it is simply a 1 party system and New blood required to inject alternative view into the parliamentary system? Do we need to reform our Ministry and parliamentary to have a mechanism to drive
4) PAP perception and its role in governing Singapore?– With PAP in the 3rd generation of leadership has national building change? Survival of national truly question while we move ahead to build the nation have we forgot why we built the nation in the first place? What is the mission of PAP? What role it perceives itself to believe they are truly here to work for Singaporean and not people work for PAP -
Better prepare your kids to be 4th or 5th generation PAP ministers.
By that time, the salary might have surged to USD5 or 10 million dollars.

it is we have to be blame because we put them there for too long a time. and now they want that much money IN YOU FACE and we can't do anything!!!! It is beyong Money!!! it is the fact that there are no checks and balance in the parlimentary.
The President got to veto the bill........ -
