In a one on one situation,malaysian migs can down the RSAF F-16s without firing a single missile....ha ha ha ha....
the migs can shoot down the f-16 with one round from its cannon.....

In a one on one situation, a Piper Warrior 2 from our Youth flying club can down a RMAF MiG-29 without firing a single shot. We don't need to use our F-16s. How can it be done? Go figure.

if im in singapore and i see a squadron of f-16s flying in formation,i will hit the f-16s down with a stone while closing my eyes

maybe even 2 bcoz the migs are capable of engaging 2 targets...
even when singapore gets the aim-120,its no match for the r-77

The key word in your sentence is "if". RMAF haven't got any R-77s yet so its nothing but a pipe dream. I won't even bother about that until the day you clowns get the R-77.
And even if you do, so what? R-77 is no uber-missile. Its not invincible, and certainly not all conquering. While you're still dreaming your wet R-77 dreams, Singapore has bought 100 AMRAAMS.

By the time they do get the R-77s and learn to use them effectively, i think we would have already taken delivery of our next generation fighters.

Singapore bought 100 AIM-120 from the US...but the RSAF isnt using it bcoz the aim-120s are still being kept in the US......

and if you chech out hte specs for the r-77 and aim-120,you will find the r-77 better or the same in all aspects...
the aim-120 isnt better in anything..........

Someone correct me if i am wrong.
The R-77 which russia exports are downgraded models (so are everything they export), thus i doubt it has full operational capability, especailly when deployed on the Fulcrums of RMAF (which incidentally, i doubt their operational capabilities). You can go on forever about how good the R-77 looks on paper, I will not burst your bubble. -
according to janes... the best R77 is reserved for russians ONLY... malay blood not holy enough to recieve it....
the russian export of R77 has 2 version... a single downgrade version that is use by the PLAAF aka People's liberation army air force...
The other version... the DOUBLE downgraded version also known as the R77E (E for export) is use as a carrot to dangle infront of donkey nations to buy the MIGs.....
So... if for some reason.. the RMAF is gonna challenge the PLAAF over the sprately's.... think the outcome of the fight is pretty much pre-determined....
As for RSAF...i believe we do have the sparrow in singapore liow... from the straits times... on the Falcon.
also known are the 100 AMRAAM that we have purchased but is not release to us... but i think that will be easy since... we do have alot of US carriers visiting at changi naval base... tranfering a hundred of those on the carriers to RSAF falcons waiting at the new AFB at changi would be breeze!.....
also rumoured are the DERBY that the isrealis has kindly provided us... the potential of that weapon is incredible... in my view... that DERBY is far more advance than AMRAAM or AMRAAMSKI.... and the Python 4..... do we need to mention that as well\? -
the RMAF r-77s still have a longer range than the aim120..
the only advantage of the aim120 is that it is combat proven -
Range is nothing if it doesn't have the killing power and capabilities. Anyone can build a missile that flies to space, but it cannot follow a fighter as it pulls just 3Gs trying to lose the missile.
Range is dependent on the radar detection range of the plane. Unless the R-77 are mounted on the hornets, i doubt they will be of much trouble to the RSAF jets. -

just wanna clarify something...
1. the R77 cannot be lauch from a hornet.. as it can only be fired when under the guidance of one particular russian radar....
the RMAF tried to integrate western avionics into the migs when they first recieved it... but when they realise that by doing so... they will no longer be able to use R77.. so in the end they have to switch back to russian radar....
Therefore... you cant have R77 fired from a hornet... as the hornet radar does not have the software compatibility to utilise R77...
2. i did saw on RTM channel claiming that RMAF MIG got R77... but the claim is vague as it simply says that the RMAF MIG can carry the R77... but did not claim to have the R77 in its inventory...
however.. the news reports seems to attempt to misled the malaysians by showing footage of RMAF technicians loading a R77 dummy missile onto a MIG-29.... believing that most 99.9% malaysians probably cant differentiate between trainning missiles from real live missiles.
lastly... if the RMAF can get its hand on R77... do you think RSAF and RTAF is gonna just sit there and see either of our forces deprived of AMRAAM??
afterall.. the USA did promise to realease AMRAAM to singapore if any other regional nation possess a similar class of weapon... such as the R77.
IF RMAF does have R77... both RTAF and RSAF and probably TNI-AU would thank RMAF... because then... we will all get our AMRAAM! but... non of the 3 air forces have AMRAAM... thus we are all pretty much sure.. that RMAF have no R77 in its inventory.
