That ought to be fun - watch the base personnel go mad due to their lack of logistical support.

SG has managed to stay far ahead of them all these years but those jokers up north are not exactly taking these lying down. Making purchase after purchase this year alone (although the quality of some of the weapons bought is very much in question). But noentheless can still inflict some harm if put to good use.
The only way to outlast them is to maintain the lead in this race. If you ask me who will win if there is a war right now, the answer is obvious. The SAF today is unstoppable. But ten, twenty years down the line? Nobody can say for sure.
by overviewing Malaysia current economic status and defense budget.http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/my.htmlDo u think they are capable acquiring defense hardware at massive scale.Your CommentOriginally posted by CenturionMBT:- ''Malaysia will sign an agreement on tank purchase with Poland by the end of the year, Defence Minister Najib Tun Razak said Monday. 48 PT-91 tanks and 14 support vehicles, part of a package to be purchased from Poland, would be delivered by 2004, Najib told reporters after meeting visiting Polish Defence Minister Jerzy Szmajdzinski.
The PT-91, modeled on the Russian T-72, has a 125mm cannon and night-combat capability, while its armor can withstand hits by guided missiles. Najib said the PT-91 would be built in Poland, but some equipment would be fitted in Malaysia.''

Since being conceived as the ultimate training facility for the USAF, the organisations at Nellis AFB, north of Las Vegas, Nevada, have established a benchmark for modern air combat. The Red Flag combat training exercises attract forces from around the US and the rest of the world to take part in the most realistic air combat training over the extensive bombing and gunnery ranges to the north of the base.
Most aircraft and personnel converging on Nellis team up as the exercise’s friendly ‘Blue’ forces. Missions are flown against range targets defended by a variety of simulated ground and air threats to give participant aircrews the most realistic combat training possible. A hostile ‘Red’ air element has threats that include electronically simulated surface-to-air missiles and anti-aircraft artillery, communications jamming forces and an air force comprising Red Flag Adversary Tactics Division pilots flying F-16Cs who are trained to replicate the tactics of potential enemy pilots.
A short two-week Red Flag exercise, held in September, attracted a diverse array of participants. The Offensive Counter Air element for the ‘Blue’ force comprised eight USAF F-15C Eagles from the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley AFB, VA. These were complemented by Republic of Singapore Air Force Block 52 F-16CJs, which flew air superiority missions, with a pair of ‘big spine’ RSAF F-16DJs flying alongside USAF Block 52 F-16CJs on SEAD and interdictor taskings. The Israeli Air Force also attended, bringing four F-15Ds and a pair of F-15Is. These flew a mixture of mission profiles including close air support. The Royal Australian Air Force, meanwhile, brought six F/RF-111Cs from No 1 Squadron at RAAF Amberley.

The RSAF trains with the best airforce in the world. In war its how good you used your weapons that matters. During the vietnam war, the phantom was humbled by the mig-15 till Top Gun trained crew began hitting back. So no matter how good and advanced weapons anybody gets, you must be able to maximise its firepower
not forgetting to add French Odax exerciseOriginally posted by Atobe:Our RSAF participate in the premier air exercises with the best from USA and its NATO allies.
We also participate in the premier air exercise also in Australia (Exercise "Pitch Black"),
and also another top air exercise in Canada.is call Maple Flag
Where are the flyboys from the RMAF ?
They could not get the 16 MIG-29 (from a fleet of 1off the ground even when the planes are only less then 4 years old; due to a lack of spare parts and maintenance.
Trying to shoot down our F-16 with the MIG-29 sitting on the tarmac ?
Maybe the RMAF Pilot was playing a computer simulated game at the "Learning" or "EASY" Level.
