all this rivalry between schools will seem to be a figment of a childhood lost to mere whims when you enter college, serve the military and enter the workforce.Originally posted by da-cheese-freakk:it's not even funny anymore.
you start off thinking one way
but everyone around you says that something MUST be this way, THIS is the correct behavior, you should NOT associate with this type of people, you are a PROUD, SPOILT, RICH, ARROGANT BRAT.
and you're just going, "no, no, no. this is not what I believe and this is not how I choose to behave."
but then, after a while, what society thinks starts sinking in.
and, being a human being, after hearing people diss you, your family, your school and your friends based on hasty generalizations, you naturally get rather ticked off.
and though you dont WANT to think badly of the people who diss you, YOU start to believe the stereotypes about THEM. 'cause you dont think they're giving you a chance.
then you treat someone ELSE badly, then that person treats ANOTHER person badly, etc.
I'm starting to wonder, is it the school system? If there wasnt so much competition between schools, would this whole school-rivalry/stereotype thing be less intense/non-existant?
