LTA has protected the mnc long enough! Have they forgotten about singaporeans interests. -

the issue here is political cos the fuel in malaysia is subsidized by gov. singapore has plenty of oil refinery, great infrastructure but we have to pay double for the same thing.
let me give u a tip. rid a motorcycle, 3/4 tank does not apply. -

the petrol or fuel tax in singapore is 44 cents / litre.
so if you pump say 40 litres in malaysia, our nice government lost at least $16 in taxes, not to mention lost profits generated in revenue.
in contrast, malaysia's petrol companies earns a profit margin of about 2%. (comes from government, sinced its subsidised) -

It is MINIMUM 44c (I thot it is 50c); that is to say if petrol drops to 1c, the pump price will be 45c with 44c going towards u know who's salaries...

If the petrol companies charge $1/- the tax could be $80c and so the pump price is $1.80 with the 80c going to help pay their million dollars salaries...

You missed out the Greens. The 3/4 tank keeps petrol prices high (good for petrol companies), protects government revenue, and discourage driving (good for Greens).

Singapore car number had increased by 10% while road area increased 5%. That is not a very good way to discourage driving hor.
Then charge skyrocket for some ERP, said to control traffic speed. But can use toes to think or not? Buy car for wat? For that 5 more minutes in bed, 10 more minutes with family, right? Then you ask the driver to go out 1-2 hours earlier to siam the ERP. It defeats the whole purpose liao right? Also, go to workplace so early for wat? Surf net har? Dunno why they have brains one. -
