How StraitsTimes and CNA reported about ex-MP being charged

Go see http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/271473/1/.html and Saturday's 21/4 Straits Times page 3's reports on ex-MP Chng Hee Kok being charged in court.
I read and re-read the articles, and I still found something missing. Then I realised what it was. Both articles FAILED to mention that Chng was an ex-PAP MP. The words People's Action Party do not appear anywhere in these report.
Surely such a detail, that the current ruling PAP has an ex-MP falling from grace, is important to the readers. But the fact that the Straits Times and channelnewsasia.com failed to mention this detail in their reports is hardly surprising. The omission is subtle, but it says volume about the close links between our mass media providers and the PAP.

But the article has an error, it reported Shirley Lee as one of the accused... Believe it to be Shirley Leow, rather than Shirley Lee... She has resigned from her position as GM of NTUC Club since 31 March 2007... -

Is there even a need to mention?
Ex-MP - you can even directly infer that he belongs to PAP. Nobody has ruled us as long as PAP. Perhaps the British, but if he lives till now, he's really old. -

The Chinese papers initially DID NOT DARE even to mention his name. We thought they were referring to an Opposition MP.
There has been numerous reports by ST on MPs involving in family disputes, traffic offences or incidents in public. More often than not they are Opposition MPs and you can see the BIG BOLD words, WP, SDP, SPP etc.
Such is our press. Such is our freedom of speech and expression.
Such is our politics. Such is Singapore.

The fallen MP was known to have been the most vocal opponent to the EDB Chairman during the debate in which MPs clashed with the EDB Chairman for daring to call MPs to resign if they disagree to his idea of naming the Bond Breakers in Parliament. -
