Minister Khaw should apply what he learned from Toyota PS

Minister Khaw Boon Wan has announced sometime in 2006 that he would go to Japan to study how top companies in Japan like Toyota has succeeded in improving their efficiency and value-adding management using a process management called Toyota Production System .
Instead of trying to increase costs due to constant pushing up of ministers' and CEOs salaries in government and GLCs, obviously government can learn how Toyota could overcome high wages, inflations and rising land costs of Japan to produce even cheaper and value added cars with better features and advances.
Many MCSTs in Singapore too have been able to lower their management fund contributions during recessions and yet have produced better and more user-friendly estate management and maintenance services far better than the Town Councils.
How come Minister Khaw could not learn from Toyota and work towards lowering costs of medicare instead of digging more into citizens' limited and exhausted CPF due to past government asset enhancement fiasco.
Clearly if ministers have produced better performance and KPI they should be able to outperform Toyota and our own MCSTs in giving citizens values for monies in all government services and better-paying job creations.
So do not become arrogant and try to learn from the outside world how to manage the economy more competitively to produce better values for the citizens.
Singaporeans are obviously being short-changed by a government which keep using its controlled media to cover up real issues and problems and continue its increasing taxes and fees.
Is it the only talent they have - to keep taxing the citizens as the only way to govern the country.

Decrease minister's salary then lots of ppl will benefit from medical subsidies.

Selective learning. CEO high pay, Minister must get high pay.

This post will give minister Khaw a rare opportunity to prove that he has the talents like the Toyota CEO who has really created internationally branded products which sell well to the world to increase their citizens' standard of living.
If he has, then there will be no problem next year for people to accept his further increase of pays by another few millions as people know talents when they see talents.
He has not taken up the challenge by coming up with a system which will reduce the Polyclinic 2.5 hour waiting time nor lowered the costs of medical treatments.
He would probably be taxing or recovering the fullest costs instead of creating and adding values to customers as Toyota has done.

not just the Khaw problems it the whole health care system that need to revamp. i ask some of my foreign associates such as China, aust, Japan. it seem there was never a need to wait 2,5hrs to see a doc at govt clinic.
