the news said the pilot claimed that A380 is more difficult to fly... errr I thought this plane is fly by wire? The computer will fly the plane ....the pilot just have to start engine and off engine, ask crew to get ready for take-off or landing
SIA knows A380 better than the pilot or the other way round?
are those pilots in the pay discussion already trained to fly A380?
I suggest SIA to recruit new pilots and later fire those who attended the meeting

If we want to talk about cosmopolitan we should not just become cosmopolitan for ministers to enjoy cosmopolitan pays and not the pilots.
So to test our leaders' sincerity in asking citizens to be cosmopolitan they should not just allow pilots' salaries to go cosmopolitan but invite cosmopolitan foreigners to apply for ministers' jobs and citizens will decide whether they are worth millions. May be clinton or greespan will take only 1/2 of our ministers' current pays without the latest raise.
May be clinton or mahathir will at least be more accountable and transparent and will open the books on how they invest our surpluses and not in shin corp or souzhou. -

MM changed his mind. Now talents deserve higher pay.
Anyway, SIA can afford the pay rise. Peanuts. It's more a matter of setting a precedent and then paving the way for future scenarios. -
Pressure the MM too much and he'll say, "that's it. Recruit the Indians to fly A380".
