  Of all other ministers, LHL still has the biggest X factor to be the PM ma.... Can't imagine Mah Bow Tan or anyone else for that matter......... Mebbe he needs a bit more time lor..........

  no no no, his old man was the one who arranged that marriage. he must have felt that by forcing his son to marry an ugly man, he'd channel all his energies into politics instead of time-wasting stuff like family time, sex, etc.

  I don't think S'pore has become more open...politically I mean. As long as we only have one company controlling all the newspapers, "open" is a dirty word. Maybe I read M'sia or Thai news, I may find out more.

  i think he'd rate himself pretty low as he didn't even have the cajones to stand up to his dad who ordered him to marry an ugly man...

  His old man did not want him deviating from the Lee family tradition of marrying ugly wives, except in his case he actually turned it up a few notches and forced an ugly man on his son.
