I agree. Among all Mr Tony Tan is the most eligible to be our PM. He is doing well in the banking sector, military and politics. He has more experience, wisdom and exposure compared with that LEE HSIEN LOONG. Tony Tan is more of an all rounder compared to lee hsien loong. Most of all it is Mr Tony Tan's humility that also impressed me. We can't find humility in lee hsien loong. well, lee hsien loong is of course lee ky's son!!!Originally posted by the Bear:rubbish...

Personally, I previously actually had a pretty high opinion of him... until that time a few years back when he encouraged Singaporeans to improve their English skills by listening to rap "music." More than anything else, that single act of gross and unmitigated stupidity underscored, to me at least, the extent to which he was (and apparently still is!) out of touch with reality.
He hasn't redeemed himself since then; I'll give him a rating of 2, and only because of the humour factor. -

In case you haven't already noticed, almost all of the news about Singapore carried by the international mainstream media, unfortunately doesn't exactly paint the island nation in a positive light. Take this survey, post it on the young PAP forum collect the numbers and tally it with the numbers you get here in Sgforums, divide it by two. I'm sure the Prime Minister would do better than 50 per cent. You know in the states they have this indicator called 'job-approval' ratings. I reckon Bush's job approval ratings, last I heard, stood @ 35 per cent. I think it'll be a gd idea if we have such an indicator here as well.
