NDP is free only if u are lucky enough to get the tix, thru balloting iirc. if not u have to buy it from 'scalpers' who hoard tix to sell for inflated prices?!?
going to batam only costs 40 for a 2 way ferry trip iirc. travel time one way is 40 mins cant remember. and if u did not stereotype it as a place for cheap sex, u maybe shld go there try it out. its not as bad as it sounds. but i guess u will never go there.
u must really look forward to NDP and New year eve, only times u get to see fireworks -

Why can't padang be used for the event?? How about Jalan Besar stadium or serangoon stadium ? Die die Mindef must award $1.5 millions contract to DSTA/sembcorb marine shipyard to build.
Even NSmen from Combat Engineering are 'seen' in the unveiling the platform according to mouthpiece today.
What's the rationale here, spending est $1,500,000/-, which create more works for NSmen, used as temp stadium , then 5 yrs later then dismantle.
What military application/value since designed by DSTA? Its not even cutting edge technology

I hardly think that there's much to celebrate .. gets worse with each passing year...
Although recently I applaude their final decision to implement Employment Laws in favor of older workers 50 - 60 above
.. kind of late in coming though ... many older workers have already suffered without jobs in the pass years....
