3) I am in no illusions to be living in Singapore because Singapore is one of the best place in the world to work and live. Pussieland? I think they are too far away from the action in Asia and with the effect of global warming, the country's primary industry is going to take a big hit and green land is turning into desert. I tried in the past to be patriotic since I have informed that there will be more good years. I now realiesed I was badly misled.
Yes, Singapore has changed beyond recognition.
Yes,we have better housings and drive bigger cars etc...
But ultimately what matters most to any Singaporean is
have we upgraded ourselves financially in tandem with the national GDP?
I dont think so!
Most of us are back to square one, courtesy of NTUC's wage restraints because of one crisis or another.
By right, we all should be earning big money comparative to our current GDP. We arent.
So only now there is general realisation the income gap between rich and commoners have grown to such a huge gap, there is no way, at current pace of salary increase, this gap will ever get smaller.
Pity those loyal citizens who have been supporting PAP all these years - and yet not really given a fairer share of the nation's wealth.
I have also come to accept this fact that the PAP Government never intended to enrich the entire population relative to the nation's enormous wealth.
So, what should I do - blame the old leaders for not taking care of our welfare?
No, I cant do that. I have only myself to blame for being a blind supporter.

Yes, it is copycat. But not us the nation. It is told who have authority to make decision and the TV station.
The local chinese TV station is constantly copying programmes from the Taiwanese varity shows.
