Dont be too happy. This present regime will charge everything they spent on you. It wont be free lunch!
Good question - do we really need this?
I think time is catching up, so they start spending and building more grandeur projects so that people will not forget them when they are gone![]()
'WE HAVE UNLIMITED RESOURCES !!!"
It's just like Shih Huang Ti and the Egyptian pharoahs all over again.
sorry hor...Originally posted by justiceforall:All this construction costs are unneccessary if our population remains at 3-4 Million.
But now that the regime's wicked planned to crowd up to 7 million into this small red dot -
they are spending more of our hard earned tax money,
in order to accommodate their favorite people,
the foreigners!
Remember this, the old mindsets are not doing all this projects for our sakes!
If you are staying at Bukit Panjang, I believe you save alot of time travelling...Originally posted by hawkeye1819:The new MRT City Line runs along the same route as the North-South Line. Wonder why they are wasting money to build such a line?
They could have build a new line linking the north directly to the east. Or build the line further up into Holland and upper Jurong West.
This line seems redundant, IMO. There's already CCL and NCL nearby.Originally posted by ^tamago^:it's the Thomson Line or Arts Line.
Marina - Nicoll Highway - Beach Rd - Lavender St - Balestier Rd - Thomson Rd - Upp Thomson Rd - Sin Ming - Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 - Lentor Estate - SLE - Woodlands Ave 6
guess tat wun be built until 2025, and it requires Lentor to be more developed. and then it provides an express route into Woodlands.
Sorry, the City Line I was referring to is the Downtown Line. Not sure why the papers refer it as City Line.Originally posted by Y_Shun:If you are staying at Bukit Panjang, I believe you save alot of time travelling...
Is it a waste? Look at it yourself.![]()
Believe me, it's much better if we could take a train down Bukit Timah.Originally posted by hawkeye1819:Sorry, the City Line I was referring to is the Downtown Line. Not sure why the papers refer it as City Line.
Yes, it looks convenient for Bukit Panjang residents only. But the rest of the whole route is like a duplicate. And it's not that Bt Panjang residents cannot get to central. A bus to East West Line followed by change to EWL MRT will do the trick.
