Simple Solution
The Government can allow FTs to come to SG but not in such a HUGE number.
Get those civilised from big cities. Leave those uncivilised out!
Get a mixture of FTs of different nationalities. y must most FTs come from China?
How abt myanmar, thailand, Korea, Japan, India etc.
Isnt it better this way? But i guess this will be hard to achieve. SG Government only interested in economy and $$$. As long as they got their high pay which they dun deserve, they wont bother abt these issues. -

BEIJING, June 1 (Reuters) - A quarter of imported children's milk bottles and teats failed a recent random quality test in southeast China, Xinhua news agency said on Friday, amid an overseas scare about Chinese food, drug and other products.
"Do you think foreign brands mean high quality?" the report asked, before detailing the findings of the survey in coastal Fujian province.
The results "should attract the highest attention from children and their parents", it added.
"These products are not up to standard for safety and hygiene reasons, and may harm children's safety and health," the report added.
The products came from Japan, Germany, Britain, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Xinhua said, adding "most of them were brand-name goods".
China blamed the media on Thursday for stoking fears about the safety of the nation's food and drugs, but senior officials acknowledged that it was not realistic to expect a 100 percent quality guarantee.
They were reacting to a series of scandals that have plagued Chinese products, from poisoned cough syrup in Panama to tainted pet food in the United States, and shaken global confidence in the made-in-China label. -

I worked with some of them - some really shouldn't be allowed in - but the ones I met in Australia show sheer brilliance in the way they problem solve. The Singaporean rote learning condemned a number to just think within the square by just looking at my sister - just modify the variables and she cannot do it ...just because the textbook doesn't tell her how to do it.
The China Chinese talents - the truly brilliant ones - they can take an equation/item apart - put it together and add some improvements . To them , it is about taking things apart and learning from other peoples' mistake. Do you know that China's animal vaccine research lab in Harbin is capable of churning out at least 10 billion vaccines within 3 weeks and their research on zoonotic diseases is quite impressive? They start from the basics and then they look through your advanced tech and take it apart to figure out how to improve on it and how to make it viable.
No because obviously some of you think Singapore is so great and good that China is some second rate country.

I am merely referring to salary when I last posted here, do not get me wrong. I also come across some good ones from China. However, in the course of my work, I got to do the job when the chinese staff pushed her work to me when she does not like doing it. So??!!!

She is being clever. The way I see all the mainland chinese scientists - they learn from the tech in the country and they learn your way fast - they only act stupid when it comes down to the menial work. There are some stupid ones around no doubt, and they don't keep their mouth shut - but the ones who keep very quiet from all the scolding and what's not are the ones I watch for. They learn fast and they are very good at dropping a bombshell on the unsuspecting workers.
Australia is attracting them in because China has become their largest trading partner in regards to Uranium . And I am skimming off the gravy from that one because I learnt alot from them - heck one taught me how to take apart mathematical formulas and we are talking massive formulas . Their method of working is very simple - you must always know your basics and build on it. New tech comes along -good but you still want your basics when new tech fails.
