What do u wanna do? reclaim land all the way up until u cover the straits???
Need i remind u that such a course of action will be a blatant transgression against international law which clearly stipulates that u cannot disrupt trade routes in any such ways... unless u argue that the johor straits is NOT a trade route since no ship has passed through it since the causeway was built

oops... Don't think the ICJ in the Hague will be impressed though... But then again, removing all the sand will provide employment for the people of Sg... if they're willing to do it instead of letting banglas do it for them...
I do not believe in beggar-thy-neighbour... not because th results are not desirable, but because such policies cannot be sustained in the long run. Sooner or later, they are gonna wanna pull a fast one like this...
I frankly don't see how we can do anything but get used to it and try harder to retain cusomers and find new ones... And frankly, I think its military suicide to try and move a warship through the straits in wartime... its too narrow, too shallow and too east to mine and defend.
