Yesterday, SingaporeÂ’s PM Lee flew to Langkawi and met MalaysiaÂ’s PM Badawi for informal talks on our bilateral relationship (see
http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/5/15/nation/17729783&sec=nation).
This doesnÂ’t interest me as much as a parallel incident on Langkawi. As was reported in
http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/5/15/nation/17731209&sec=nation, ex-PM Mahathir “arrived [in Langkawi] for a private visit early [yesterday]. He was admitted to the hospital at 4.15pm”.
Now, with the so-called pressure and not-so-kind words that Mahathir had been heaping on Badawi, I find it very hard to believe that the ex-PM and current PM are on Langkawi at the same time but for different reasons. I think, with a conspiracy theory in mind, that Lee, Badawi, Mahathir are all on Langkawi to talk about Singapore-Malaysia ties, i.e. how the leaders can orchestrate the next choreographed move (as I had suggested in
http://blueheeler.wordpress.com/2007/04/18/ringringring/).
So dear Singaporeans and Malaysians, wait for the next managed Â’spatÂ’ between our 2 beloved countries!
