if you insist on being rude, then fine,
to me you aren't a loyal singaporean. You are fighting coz you don't have a choice. You don't have the ability to run away, you don't have the guts to move abroad for something new. Thus you sit here and complain and scream at Singaporeans who can leave, and being rude, not only to me, but to many others here. You are a coward in peacetime, so you hope that in times of war, you can show that you are willing to die for this country coz you are only worth a few pennies.
in fact, in your 1st post, you even highlighted that you would steal what others left behind. Take what you did not earn, and keep it for yourself. A true reflection of a fake 'patriot'. I don't think Lim Bo Seng ever had such an evil thought, coz he was a true patriot.
Even if we leave, and we come back, you will just be another poor guy thrown to one side (provided you din end up under a stone), ending up cleaning the hawker centres, while we will be earning good money coz the govt will still value people who bring money back to Singapore.
You can call me a coward, be rude, and sit there with a heart of envy and pity, and I will just shrug it all off. Its fine.
There are 2 types of people who stay in Singapore. The true patriots, and the ones who pretend to be patriots, coz they got nowhere else to go, cowards with only a few pennies to their name
Sadly, you are the 2nd type, coz of all the big hoo-ha you talk so big with your mouth, the fact is, you don't have a choice. Go ahead and live in your self-centred world. Its fine, you can't harm anyone of us here *shrugs*
You want the truth? That's the truth about you, a coward calling others cowards. Such a sad life... I pity you. And well I will consider donating a dollar to you when you are homeless and pitiful, though I don't think you deserve a single cent for being such a fake 'patriot'
in fact, after all these talk, I am now thinking you are very blur about what is patriotism.
Now you show you really can't handle the truth.

Whether the remark "Coward" is truely rude and unfair to you, or your refusal to acknowledge the fact that it fits you nicely for the action you take when Singapore goes to war, only you will know.

If singapore is just a piece of land not worth fighting for, why treasure the things you leave behind, ON the island? you want to run but you want others to protect your properties here? fat hope. When we win the war, shouldn't those who risk their lives protecting this little piece of land deserve the leftover on the island? Don't call the poor man who pick up from the rubbish dump "thief", he just take what people leave behind, what evil thought? Poor people, whether they pick the thrash, or clean toilet, or serve at hawker center, we are doing honest jobs for a living.

We don't have money, but you can't insult us with a few dollars, because we have honor. Errr...how much is the economic value of such thing call "honor" ?"

Now who talk about fighting for the country means dying for the country? Did your instructors or your platoon commander teach you how to die or how to fight and win the battle? Some instructors in Tekong need to be recalled for re-training.

SAF is not invincible, but we will not fight a war if we do not think we can win!
Let me get another definition straight, "running away" is different from "desertion". Are you running away to support the war from outside? are you leaving behind some responsibilties not done, your reservists duties, some old folks (don't learn from Lim Bo Seng who left his wife and kids behind when he flee singapore)? If we call those who run away from their duty to defend this piece of island "desertors", can you handle that? or is it another rude remark.
Holding on to the definition of Patriotism, who are the real patriots and who are the fake, only you will know. Twisting and turning with interpretation does not change the fact.

Just a little down to earth info about the ordinary singaporean. Most people do not have the means to travel as and when they like. Many are not physically well enough to travel, esp by sea or air. Many folks cannot live in countries with cold season. Many old folks do not speak english and will find it tough to survive outside a familar neighborhood.... The list can go on... And these folks can be our parents and our relatives. To most singaporean, leaving singapore is not about a choice, or the ability, or the guts. Damn.

..I thought only the pap elites do not know what's going on at the grassroot level, about the ordinary people. Now I know, when it comes to the crunch, even the anti pap elements, who have properties on this island, and are able to flee anytime, (thereinafter referred to as the Anti PAP ELites) will only think for themselves. and they got the f ing guts to use the plight of the poor people in singapore to criticize the government. Damn..

You don't really have to worry about people like me and what I call you. If you ever have the opportunity to teach your children about virtues like patriotism, bravery, and love, think very carefully what would you tell them, and the example you lead.
You know, I am really not very patriotic. I can play on 5 golf courses in Singapore without having to pay green fees. In time of war, I need stay to make sure that no bombs destroy the fairway, and no marks made on the green, for my tee off time is 7 am the next morning after the enemy surrenders.

Surely I am not thinking about fighting means dying, for a dead man cannot play golf.

after that I will join the singapore government (if it is the pap, then also bo bian) and travel to countries to thank them for looking after our people during the war, and to those in the refugee camps who deserve, we will award them the title "CFT".
