Where's your evidence that our productivity is 'so low'? I think we are comparable, but we do have to upgrade the skills of the older workers without tertiary education. The statistics has been hammering us for over a decade and we have failed to close the gap at all. If it isn't obvious enough, the failure of the Govt to nurture local entrepreneurship for decades is the reason why we have failed to catch up.
