Yes I agree ... He is a man of ideals in his early years ...And i credit him for the economic prosperity of singapore ... However we cant be ETERNALLY 'grateful' to him by giving his party votes every GE ... And all the economic prosperity comes at a price : no human rights . We should not continue to talk about the past. There are other better people to think about than him.
Afterall he has been well-paid for his contributions. And all is square. Singaporeans dont need to feel obligated to him. Remember, he has already received salaries too.
Just anyone else in the civil service, if he makes a mistake or is over arrogant, he deserves to go. There should be no exception.
He is neither God nor superman.
There are many capable and decent man than LKY in Singapore today.
Singapore belongs to all of us. He does not own Singapore.
He cant force his own will into our world. The future is ours to make, not LKY.
His time is up soon, so dont get too worked up over his life or death.
History will one day record him as a dictator without a conscience. A iron hearted person who even sued the people who helped him to power. -

I respect the man, he is smart - for his own good only, not the people... kept himself in power for donkey decades... I respect that .. he has the brains.
Now, everyone has many chapters in life, he has already passed many many chapters.. this I'm sure is his last.
