Singapore has NO legal minimum wage?

Wage, not age.
I was curious when I saw the bbc article that the US Congress had raised the minimum wage from USD $5.15 by $2.10. That would be $7.25 an hour.... minimum wage. That curiosity drove me to google up Singapore's legal minimum wage, only to discover that there is NO Legal minimum wage?
Doesn't this leave a loophole for exploitation to employ those who really really really need a job at a much lower wage? Some really big fast food joints operating locally are known to pay as low as $3 an hour. I mean, I'm really jealous of the americans now. Their minimum wage workers now earn TWICE of what Singaporean (controversially NON-Minimum wage ) workers, and in US Dollars.
Okay, maybe its no big deal for most of the new bunch of well educated Singaporeans. They probably won't become minimum wage workers here, and those who are minimum wage workers, can't possibly migrate to US and be minimum wage workers there.
I feel sorry for the poor aged aunties and uncles, so old already still working hard in fast food joints or supermarts. I wonder what kinda wage they receive and what kinda protection and benefits they have. -

There is also no limit on how much a high ranking public official can earn.

'Encouraging' fellow Singapore peasants to constantly upgrade themselves to increase their competitiveness or merely saying that the current situation is a result of globalisation do not help at all when an employer can hire 3 hardworking foreign workers for the price of 1 local.

depends on area.
central tokyo has the highest wages, between 800~1250yen per hour. move to the outskirts and it's around 700~1100. move out of tokyo to areas like osaka, kobe, kyoto etc, and 700-900 is the standard.
also, full time wage is 2x that of part time wage.
so if you're a full time staff, you're paid roughly 2000yen per hour. -
There is a wage search feature at MOM website, might want to it check out.
Please remember to check out the wage for 'whiners', they are very highly paid.
