With China and India economy continue booming the world will eventually experience shortage of food and resources and that is something that Singapore and the world has to deal with eventually.
The effect of high oil prices has not really been felt throughout the whole spectrum of consumer products because china has been exporting deflation out of the country. However things looks like it has already hit rock bottom and is on the upward trend now. -

SINGAPORE: The price of condensed and evaporated milk as well as certain brands of fresh milk, has gone up.
This is according to the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) which conducted a price survey, following concerns by consumers.
CASE checked four major supermarket chains - Carrefour, NTUC Fairprice, Giant, and Sheng Siong - and found that condensed milk prices have gone up by about 10 to 45 per cent.
Leading the pack was Nestle Milkmaid High-Calcium condensed milk which now costs about 50 cents more.
Also up by about the same amount is Nestle Carnation Full Cream evaporated milk.
CASE also found that the 1 litre packs of Marigold, Magnolia, Farm House and Daisy fresh milk, now cost between 10 and 55 cents more.
But when it comes to sugar, prices have gone down or remained the same.
For those who are looking to cut costs, CASE suggests choosing supermarket housebrands which are cheaper. - CNA/yy

Every single Auntie KNOW that there is a PRICE HIKE for the condensed milk.
The responsibility of CASE is to look into matter and find out the reason of price hike for the public.
INSTEAD, they are TELLING us that what we know and tell us to buy cheaper brand.
It is like if you cannot afford taxi fare, you walk.
If the CASE cannot serve the primary role of assisting the consumer and give useless and meaningless response, it should be DISBANDED. -

Since when was CASE, just like NTUC and other state-managed independent entities, supposed to abet in pursuing matters which compromise the interests of this regime? It all GST fault, After it announced, everything goes up before July, we haven't get the GST package, we are already paying more than we received. They are just excuses to rise their price, if you don't rise now, you will never has a good chance to rise the price. GST is helping the poor, I don't think so, I think more like helping themselves

My wife just complained to me about the increased on the price of praying oil. Said she used to buy them at $2.70 a bottle (2 lit). Just today she went to buy again at the same shop she frequented and she was shocked it was $3.20!!!
. The shock doesn't stop there. Apparently the vendor told her the oil might increase in another month time!!!
Now I'm wondering if I should increase my charges on my customers as well -
