nobody can say for sure... because too many factors are beyond control....Originally posted by Orcishwarrior:picking on a scenario if there is conflict between malaysia and singapore, then indonasia as the world most muslim populated country
decided to help side malaysia in this war.
Question:can singapore armed force fight two countries at the same time retaining it national independent.
i think that while the combine forces of indonesia and malaysia is significant and must be given due considerations.... Defeat for singapore is however not a foregone conclusion...Originally posted by laser51088:However, if Malaysia and Indon can somehow coordinate their equipment effectively, its gonna be a hard fight, with Singapore almost for sure losing. But I doubt they can coordinate with each other. Rivalry, jealousy, all the rubbish you get at diplomatic level gonna break down their coordination too.
Damn then we will need people like Lee Hsien Loong back in the artillary units. My cousin was a commander of one of our artillary units which Lee oversaw back when he was still in the SAF. During one of the exercises in which he was informed about at the last minute(Don't ask me what happened I don't know), Lee spent half an hour looking at the tactical map and proceeded to outthink the enemy 7 steps ahead and his unit wrecked the opposition into bitsOriginally posted by tripwire:i think that while the combine forces of indonesia and malaysia is significant and must be given due considerations.... I believe that the key lies in the commander's capability.... NO numbers, technology and money can make up for the deficiency of an idiotic commander...
Lee Hsien Loong is still a general albeit reservist. In time of wars, I am sure his skills will play an important part. Well, he is smart, and has got a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. I am sure he quite a chess player too, thus make him a very potent arty commander.Originally posted by Matlaysia:Damn then we will need people like Lee Hsien Loong back in the artillary units. Lee Hsien Yang used to be the CO of 46 SAR so I guess he's Armor trained. Heard he takes soldier's welfare seriously and give benefits and incentives without hesitation, but heard too that he's super strict when it comes to ops and training......that what I heardOriginally posted by Joe Black:Lee Hsien Loong is still a general albeit reservist. I also heard that Lee Hsien Yang is good too. Hmm....
I recall that sometime back when he was still in the artillary units. He did a programmed the computers in the artillary guns that increased the accuracy of the guns from something like 400m squared to about 4 metres squared.(Not too sure about the specifications though must check this out). Later during a live firing exercise with the americans, The amarican commander was so impressed that the US requested to buy the software. With brains like him the mutts will be dead in time of war.Originally posted by Joe Black:Lee Hsien Loong is still a general albeit reservist. Yes you are absolutly right, a relative of mine served under him and from what he said. Hsien Loong never lost his temper in front of his men and in the command centre irregardless of how stressed or frustrated he wasOriginally posted by Silenthunter:Lee Hsien Yang used to be the CO of 46 SAR so I guess he's Armor trained.
