Why are our own politicians so crude to our citizens? True they may be leaving Spore and we are talking about PMEB. They are talented true blue Singaporeans. I am not asking the government to be obliging or give into what they demanded but at least do not fuel the flame by addition insult to injury. At least be more tactful to convey that Spore do value their worth & Spore will still welcome them back if they decided to return one day. Who knows what they learn after stay in a foreign land may one day benefit Singapore if they return. Be far sighted.
Even if they don’t, they might just want to contribute from afar knowing that Singapore still care for their welfare even though these PMEB have left. And they are still considered as precious Singaporean. Let them go but tie a “heart string” onto them.
I think our politician give more care & concern to foreign talents then our own. So is it worth being a citizen in the end? What is our politician try to convey to our young generation? That those leaving citizens are second to foreign? Yes we need foreign talents, but equally or more we need faithful Singaporeans home or aboard. Foreign talents “heart string” is always with their Motherland no matter where they are, or come from (USA, UK, India and etc). They (PMEB) may seem to some, be leaving Singapore for the wrong reason, but nevertheless they are true Singaporean. Will “Father Singapore” please love your own sons and daughters? Please don’t consider them as outcast.
Singaporeans have done a lot for Singapore, so all we ask is for Singapore to be kind to us with words. Do just preach to Singaporean to love Singapore when all we heard from Singapore were nasty words.
Err...forgive my ignorance, but wat does PMEB stands for?
