Similarly, unchecked immigration can also transform our country beyond recognition. -

hmm... why not just give Singaporean citizenship to every cat and dog with no string attached? No need to even live in Singapore too, just go to internet and submit an application. In no time, everyone in the world will be a Singaporean!!! Instead of reaching the 6 millions target, we will excel and may even reach the 6 billion target!!!

PR kids only be offered a choice to change their citizenship when they almost completed NS but they have a choice to change. Our worthless pink card will become useless in the future. More foreign will become PR and outnumber Singaporeans. LKY said 1/3 of our 4.4 million population are foreigners. That mean 1.4 million are foreigners. 4.4 minus 1.4 = 3 million Singaporeans. If raise to 6.5 million population, that mean 6.5 minus 3 = 3.5 million foreigners. Overall, 3 million Singaporeans and 3.5 million foreigners.

trying to get it right -
1) first they will be offered PR status when they signed up for NS at 18, provided they give up their citizenship they inherited from their parents at birth.
2) with PR status they joined army.
3) completed army - option given for citizenship, if not taken up still keep PR status - still got reservist/ippt
4) if they did not sign up for army, dont have PR status, continue to assume parents citizenship. cannot remain in Singapore - to be confirmed
but for PR female kids they will inherit their parents citizenships if applicable, should be holding dependent pass, at working age - work pemit .
so conscription rule is applicable to PR kid with PR status ? -

They work hard and gone through the progress with the country. Plse, don't keep on mentioning and comparing the past and present. Now, we have tv, clean water and transport etc....If you put the past here, do you think they will come? Whereby women are forced to be prostitute by rascals during the past and now we see alot of willing party in the presents.
