[bb]I think the Thai King had brought this upon himself. He allowed bad Karma to reach him when he supported an illegal coup against a constitutionally elected govt. If Thaksin's govt was bad, then let the courts or the ballot box decide. The King should not lend any support to coup leaders who captured power illegally.

he had underestimate the moral authority over a consitutional government to have allow the military coup to happen of all places when Thaksin was in the UN.Originally posted by Dr Who:Recently, a Swiss man was sentanced to 10 years jail for spray painting the photo of the Thai King. This had resulted in international outrage, causing some people to post insults to the King on YouTube. Thailand reacted by censoring YouTube in Thailand.
So what happened? More insulting videos appeared.

However, we should respect Singapore as our nation.

Well, I guess we all know what it's like to be in a country where there's only 1 super power controlling our way of life.

You can say anything you like, but if you choose to go against the laws and defame anyone, you must be prepared to suffer the consequences. Like all citizens, politicians have the right to be protected under the law. There is no place for lawlessness in politics.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Who cares about the PAP. And look what kind of mess the whole place is now. I would like less PAP in S'pore.... but would NEVER support a SAF led GOVT. Thats why the Thais are now protesting on the streets..... Thaksin might not be good, but a military govt is even worst.Originally posted by ky13:It appears you do not know much about the situation in Thailand when Taksin was the prime minister. Too bad, the Thais (mostly educated ones) are not as obedient as us, Singaporeans.
