Insult the Thai King

Recently, a Swiss man was sentanced to 10 years jail for spray painting the photo of the Thai King. This had resulted in international outrage, causing some people to post insults to the King on YouTube. Thailand reacted by censoring YouTube in Thailand.
So what happened? More insulting videos appeared.
I think the Thai King had brought this upon himself. He allowed bad Karma to reach him when he supported an illegal coup against a constitutionally elected govt. If Thaksin's govt was bad, then let the courts or the ballot box decide. The King should not lend any support to coup leaders who captured power illegally.
So now people in Youtube kicks the king.......... Does the King deserve such treatment?

Not even King should be above the law, not to mention the constitution.
And he have seen so many coups and re-constitution in his life so many times.
I dun see why he should support that last coup.
Even though Thai's south is chaotic and the military doesn't like Thaksin's solution by force in the south. I don't see the junta is making any better progress in the south now. -
actually, the king may have the popular support, but the generals have the guns
the generals could well be threatening the king privately for all we know -

Do remember that to the Thai.... the KING is like a GOD. Thats why HE cannot be insulted..... But we know he is a MAN after all..... look at the mess that is Thailand now....... just thinkin when the next Coup will take place with the 'Blessing' of the KING......
BTW.... there are toooo many here who insult the Govt, LKY, PAP, etc all the time..... and yet tomorr, they will still be here.... Thats why i don't understand why soo many here is scare of the ISA...... If the ISA is used all the time against such ppl..... would they still be around to make anti-govt comment day after day

Who cares about the PAP. After what they have done or not done, they are fair game. They are just a political party.
However, we should respect Singapore as our nation.
If you cannot bear to be spoken about, get out of politics. There are no places for weaklings in politics. -

And look what kind of mess the whole place is now. I would like less PAP in S'pore.... but would NEVER support a SAF led GOVT. Thats why the Thais are now protesting on the streets.....
