Serve the country/people

Nowadays,our ministers seldom speak about serving the country or the ppl.They only talk about giving competitive salaries to attract talents.
Only LKY said he wanted to help those ppl who can't migrate to other countries.He is the cleverest one.Just hope that he is truthful in saying that. -
He will say the self-help groups are there for that purpose and the perennial quote : Singapore is not a welfare country ...

True, this started when lee hsien loong took over as PM. It is no doubt that his sincerity in serving the nation/country/people is questionable. He seems to be serving himself more than the nation, giving himself undeserve super high pay when he does not possess that sort of calibre. What a shame!!!
FTs are not stupid. They know how the gahmen in Singapore is like, and most that I come across don't have really good things to say about them. VEry rarely do I come across FTs who want to become citizens. Even the one from China told me she rather goes back to China after her contract expires than to stay here. She prefers her own country.

Not only govt leaders can serve the ppl
It is not only govt leaders & politicians can serve the ppl.Govt officers,businessmen,taxi drivers,professionals,mannual workers can serve the ppl or customers.So most of us can serve the ppl.Let us do it sincerely. -

My contention is there is no such thing as a good monopoly.
So have some confidence and do some good for singapore by not creating monpolies and do so not by just paying lip service but by doing it with sincerity and showing you are worth your salt.(or the millions that you make). and show the people you are truly for them and not for the money
The sooner the monopolies are abandoned and dismantled the better will lives be for the citizens. -

maybe a prospective minister is thinking " I would serve my country and its people....but if i do so, i would be making a huge loss in income.....I dont want that sort of sacrifice...." Imagine if ppl like Goh Keng swee, Rajaratnam had that thinking.....
