  well did he mention why they would not want to come back? it would be interesting to know what are the reasons thats holding the locals in oversea to be hesistent in coming back to singapore?

  He did not mentioned the reason but everybody can guess the probable reason.

  2) Better opportunities to find work like the late Bruce Lee can made use of his martial art to gain into Hollywood. Jackie Chan n Jet Li.

  I don't really like reading Singaporean newspaper, sometimes the information can be manipulated to put the government in a favourable light.
  
  But the main point is, our citizenship composition used to be 74% in 2000, in 2005 it is 71.5%. This shows more outflow of citizens than we gain in the past 5 years. If this trend persist, 50 years down the road it will be a 50:50 split between citizens and foreigners.
  
  But then again, "in the long run, we will all be dead".
