Is law and order or bread on the table the only goal in nation building?
If such law and order or material needs are extracted by pretentious claim of leadership and talent by legalistic wrangling of laws and regulations against reason and logic, which only benefit a few rich and powerful people just to look good for the leaders, people would rather have no peace, no law and order so that they could debunk such false pretences to restore the real long-lasting peace of their own. -
If we do better than HK in economic terms in that the average citizens are enjoying better wages and higher saving and able to retire with their life-savings, due to draconian clamp-down on freedom to criticise wrongful acts or self-interest government policies, we could do without such economic or materialistic gains.
We can be less prosperous and yet happier and peaceful within and generally enjoying wholesome worthwhile life to the best as we can make of them if we have less government arrogance, self-interest or wrongful policies made to suit themselves.
Such self-centred governing system will always be rejected by the right-thinking people as power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely benefiting only the rich and powerful at the expense of mass participation and practical knowledge application by all. -
The "Law & Order" here is just to stop people from openly Protesting against the things the government does lah...
that's why it is VERY important to them mah.. keep peoples' mouth SHUT with FEAR!

True, but they don't really put alot of effort in clamping down on internet dissidents. Mainly , well, coz they can't reach many of the dissidents, especially when severs are hosted overseas. They seem to think that the readership on internet chatrooms/forums is not high enough to warrant action on their (pap) part. Anti MM Lee or Anti PAP is not actually against the law, but usually involve libel suits between two people, hence a very different "flavour" or action taken by the authorities. -

Everytime I post something, I do worry a bit... but I also know, that what I am posting is REALITY; facts on how locals are at a disadvantage under their rules..
I know, I am also not the only one here who are "against" them, there so many of us...
Hence, I may not be wrong to assume, that they are just taking stock of each and every one of us who opposes them verbally in here...
However, my heart is clear, because what I am doing is NOT INHUMANE...
I am merely airing my views, opnions, and hopes... I am not here, trying gather forces to overthrow them...
They, will do well to note how much locals are disgusted with them...
