  PM Lee talk abt The Bak Chor Mee.
  He changed it to mee siam mai ham, suppose to be mai hiam but he say mai ham.
  So mr brown make fun of him la.

  i know the bak chor mee was refering to PAP and it points out the greyish areas which PAP engage in.. but what PM Lee wanted to rebut? anyone knows exactly what he said?

  Could there be an underlying meaning when he said they can have mee siam mai hum? But if he really thinks that there is "hum" in mee siam, then I would say he is not able to reach down to the level of the common people. Sad!!!!

  no la, the bak chor mee got 2 episode. one of them was spoofing the james gomez incident. the bak chor mee man insist he explain why he say he don't want te kwa.
  
  but i really don't see the link between mee siam mai hum and the bak chor mee spoof. in what way was it a rebuttal? that's why i was wondering if anyone heard the original speech.

  This shows how in touch with reality are our ministers, they live in ivory towers and don't interact or socialise with the serfs. Their policies are all theoretical, not practical, that's why you see most of their policies don't work. In theory, everything looks good in paper, but we are dealing with social beings, not the science of nature.

  ok i get it now. PM Lee was using mr brown podcast to say that its not a good idea to use humour to make a point of view, because nothing constructive will come out of it, if its not handled properly. the mee siam mai hum/hiam got no link la, just that he is protraying 2 diff point of views..
  
  what he said is true la.. but it will only work if both parties coorperate.. and everyone respect each other and give each other the freedom to speak without fear then things will get moving..
  
  also mr brown isn't really telling half truths or untruths.. just a sad realization of reality i guess.
