I think that schools should encourage to students to know the basic of politics and also give the chance for them to speak on certain issues or being exposed themselves to that.
Most of the time for now, most of the students only care for their studies and oneself, and all this occupy a lot of time due tons of homework and do not even have the time to have good sleep or looking into their personal interest.
For me most of the time, when my SS teacher was covering the topic of GRC, I laughed about it
and told her that there is another logic to it on why the implementation of GRC.
Sometime I will ask my teacher on whether our country is a true "democratic" country and ...
Perhaps I am still young and still don't know as much as the rest.

you think an average secondary sch/JC/ITE students will listen? maybe some, mostly from JC. i don't think so many students care about politics. so teaching them will most likely trigger a reaction like "boring" or "sian" or "boliao".
