RC members to write report on surrounding and neighbours.

RC members (Moulmein constituency, MP Lui Tuck ______ - sorry can't remember his full name) are asked to write report on their surrounding and the neighbours. Whatever for? Why do they (pay and pay) need such data/info? Is this one of their ways to track spies or . . . . Wonder if other RC members from other constituencies are asked to do the same.

Statements like that are dangerous; these are examples of how exaggerations can be propagated throughout heartlands, especially if they are later found to be baseless or misinterpreted. -

They don't care if you didn't want to flame or cause any harm.
You will be judged by your actions, not your intentions... if you are posting something that is potentially a bombshell and have nothing to back it up except say that "it's not a rumour", then you will be in serious trouble when the stuff hits the fan.
And believe me, the stuff you are posting here has the potential to start a lot of things you cannot contain. -

RCs are meant to gather ground feedback for the PAP MP or the PAP's own agent in opposition wards. For surroundings, I guess it would be for improvement?
As for neighbours, it could be to check for shady dealings, although I think it is a waste of time to write a report on this as an investigation by the town council or police would suffice.

It is true of what you said above. The RC member neighbour ever told me there is this particular one who attends meeting but do nothing to contribute and goes on telling people she is a RC member and is contributing. Don't really agree with the many ways of the ruling govt, so I don't think I will sign up to be a RC member.
