for many displaced Singaporeans who are no contended with a poly education , they are forced to pay a higher price for a overseas tertiary education as the local u continue to reserve sizable number of places for foreign students.
nevertheless, tough willed ordinary Sporeans' parents are braving themselves for a harder time ahead to give their kids a headstart in life., even it meant downgrading to a smaller apartment.
Ironically and unjustly, Singaporeans own CPF monies are NOT allowed to pay for an overseas education.
On the other hand, kids from well to do family whose parents can be drawing sizable income are granted scholarship. Bond would be totally ineffective for these rich families if it is a reason to tie them down.
Qualified kids get stuck in poly, sizable local u places reserved for foreign students (in Boon Lay estate about ten blocks of flats have been retrofited to accomodate them.. tenants and shops relocated ).

I always believe this , those who know how to earn ,might not be good in studies
those who know how to study well, might not know how to earn
indeed, many a time those who missed the chance in education would excel in other areas, it is survival instinct. ![]()
However one would question the discrepancy in the CPF withdrawal's discriminatory criteria in favour of local u as against overseas u.
This ruling is biased against students who only ask for headstart in life to compete with the influx of foreign degrees holders to flood our shores soon..
