why must they go for prayers on fri noon when they only come back after lunch time?
why cant they pray on sat or sun????? -

Their Sabbath is on Friday.
To the Muslims, I believe they were informed that Allah decided that Friday should be their Sabbath.
Also Friday is a special day for Muslims because:
Allah created Adam on Friday. Adam entered paradise on Friday. He and his wife Eve landed on this planet earth on Friday. He died on Friday.
Friday is a blessing and a sacred day. The doors of Heaven are open of Friday white the doors of Hell are closed. Prayers and supplication (Du 'a') are accepted on Friday. The day of Friday is a day of Peace where all animals, birds and insects say "Peace" on that day.
They also believe that Judgement Day will take place on Friday. Non-Muslims made their own decisions as to Saturday and Sunday. -

do not generalise becoz of one bad apple....
back to your qns... this is probably due to the lack of car parking space within vivinity of the mosques... unlike most churches where they have their own multi storey car park... something the authority might want to take a look at it... from my observation, these mosques are either located by the roadside or secluded thus finding a valid parking space is an issue...
I believe that this does not only constraint to fri afternoon only...just take a look at those illegal parking cars near the coffeeshops everyday...im sure u can spot at least one... i think that singaporeans generally dun like to put coupons... i am no exception..
TS should provide some solutions to tackle the issues instead of ranting about them.... just my two cents worth...

It's for Muslim men. Which can be Malay, Indian, Chinese, German, Japanese, African, Arab, etc. -

Sabbath is the day of rest and worship
But in Singapore, Friday is a work day so this is like a compromise. -

Christians park illegally too during their church days, and the church bells always ring on those days. The muslims do not make a big deal out of it, why do you have to ask such thing?
