now they make things easy for foreigners and on the other hand make things difficult for our very own born and bred singaporeans, the people of singapore. how to trust this govt for our future? in the future, it is likely that the number of foreigners outnumber our locals.
With them around, the sky is turning "more and more grey" in Singapore.
but didn't the govt announce they will cut PR subsidies?Originally posted by zix1:This goes to show that the govt is desperate for foreigners to settle down here to help them attain their wants, goals, more $$$$, more babies. So leh long, leh long, leh long!!!! Have never expected them to go to this extent. Sigh!
Erm...u can actually use the 10 counters too..cos it says ALL Passports...i juz did that last nite on arrivalOriginally posted by reyes:how do you feel when the foreigners have 10 counters at changi airport immigration and singaporeans only have 2.
Although we need ppl in the construction industry, but most of them are low skilled workers which by giving out work permit should be sufficient. Why give out PR status? I thought PR status should be given to foreign talent.Originally posted by ispyyy:http://app.ica.gov.sg/serv_pr/per_res/app_for_pr.asp#procedure
hmmm... more foreign workers from construction industry getting PR is understandable... Coz, not many Singaporeans want to work in construction sector...
Actually, all the while, PR is very easy to get 1...
But the dulan thing is tat PR's benefit and citizen benefit not much diff 1... though, the governent is trying to reduce the PR's benefit...
hmmm.. well, we can try to compare the citizen and PR benefit :
1) PR can be expelled from the country but citizen cannot be expelled (To some people, it does not seems to have much diff)
2) Recently, Citizen medical benefit is better than PR's
3) Citizen get to vote and choose their future (seems like not much diff in Singapore)
4) HDB ??? I dont noe

Try joining the opposition party like SDP and go out to to street to protest against PAP, and let's see if citizen really don't get expelled.

Nah, cause of PAP's GRC idea, never have a chance to vote. So I don't see any different.

The idea of getting PR is to increase the targeted population of 6 million but little do they realized some of thePR will go back to theri countries afterOriginally posted by sunnytv:This is true. Don't believe check for yourself. It is getting easy to get PR, my friend work as admin in recruiting foreign worker from aboard had said that more foreign worker from construction site is getting PR, and one application will do. In the past, it take them quite alot of try to get PR. Now, PR in Singapore is as cheap as peanut.
There's no such international law to safeguard one's rights. As a matter of fact, this regime practices a brand of tyranny which allows for one's citizenship to be rescinded (even for natural-born citizens, which would be unconstitutional and a gross violation of human rights had such legislations been in force in the free world) so long as you stay away from this regime for a period of 10 consecutive years.Originally posted by ispyyy:It is under international law that citizen of that country cannot be expelled...
