Well said, that is why I don't quarrel with people like robertteh. There is nothing really new in some of his arguments but he does look at old problem in new perspective. There are new forumites coming in everyday. These discussions may seem stale to some but it is refreshing to others. It may also jog the minds of the regulars in SC and Sgforums. No matter what, there are always new perpectives even when reading the same topics again....unless one chooses not to see them.
But some are here to scold and run down. I should correct myself, it is not so much the same points being discussed, just the same pattern I see. Somebody make a point, these idiots would tell them to justify with facts and figures, but when these idiots make a one liner remark, and were asked to substantiate, they would just come down with tons of names calling blah blah....this is quarrel, not discussion. You see that happening with the same people all the time.
There are critics here, some are idiots, their position on the issue is of no relevance. -

In documents tendered to the appeals court in the province of Ontario, Singapore's judicial reputation has been subject to scathing attack. Lawyers have alleged in court documents that the Singapore legal system is an "utterly politicized component of executive rule" in which there is no guarantee of fairness even in commercial cases. The Singaporean Ministry of Law rejects these claims.
Wingfield in his submission to the court in Ontario also cited the opinion of the International Commission of Jurists on a more recent case involving Jeyaretnam that "the High Court of Singapore has done little to overcome the Singapore courts' reputation as improperly compliant to the interests of the country's ruling People's Action Party." -
Really, it is more to do with the motive why one is here for. If one is here for some entertainment and that people here should say things according to his whimps and fancies, then the person is here for the wrong reasons. I sense a desire in you to make SC a more constructive platform where only those who are sensible, contribute.
I believe you may have had some run-ins with maurizio13. Haha, he certainly does name calling sometimes but you have got to respect him for his rational contributions on the overall.
However, the same cannot be said of crazy monkey. I really have not seen anything constructive from him as much as I would love to. It is always the monotonous one liners all the time.
Do we need such people in SC? NO because they oppose but cannot back it up. Perhaps these kind of people should better serve their purpose in other forums. -
