Obviously a painful and inconvenient path, hence the choice of withdrawing all of one's CPF and leaving for good, will be the only best option which doesn't smash all of one's eggs...Originally posted by LazerLordz:Revolution is a messy business, look at Thailand.
We'll more or less simply just do the final withdrawal of our CPF and move to some sunny beach.![]()

A nation born out of diaspora, will produce her own diaspora one day.
And not even a hundred years has passed, yet we possibly have nearly 8% of Singaporeans living abroad.![]()
What you're suggesting is effectively advocating that folks play a game within rules laid out by tyrants.Originally posted by Rock^Star:If the Singapore govt chooses to have a tax system like these countries and then provide an impregnable safety net, why not?
However, since they have decided on this current tax system, forced savings is a must. Unless they are voted out one day.

Do you tackle crime by giving in to the demands of criminals and playing along with them? Or do you tackle crime by bringing criminals to justice? I think it's no secret which would prove more sustainable in the long run.
I share your sentiments there. That said, just because this particular criminal is no easy target doesn't mean folks should go down the road of "appeasement" and advocating this brand of "forced savings" as a necessity.Originally posted by Rock^Star:We tackle the crime by bringing criminals to justice.
However, this criminal is no easy target. It has a stranglehold on all statutory boards and armed forces. This is not as easy as catching hold of a rapist or robber.
I suspect when the Workers' Party takes over a GRC, the tyrants will start to bring out a lot of claws and lay them on the Workers' Party. What the Workers' Party has done thus far is lay low and slowly work into the minds of the people. This is quite contrary to what Chee and Jeyaratnam have done which unwittingly provided the PAP with ammunition to attack them vigorously.Originally posted by Rock^Star:We tackle the crime by bringing criminals to justice.

Workers' Party is adopting this strategy of 'playing within the opponent's boundaries' and I believe they will inch their way towards the control of at least a GRC in the next election.
HahahahaOriginally posted by TheGoodEarth:Hmm... Low, Chiam, Chee and JBJ should come together to form a GRC.
That's the capital idea. The electorate has long been sedated. Implosion is good for population explosion.Originally posted by Fingolfin_Noldor:Hahahaha
Their personalities are so different, the entire electoral campaign would implode before it even starts.
