If you need to know go ask Chee Soon Juan - the Man, himself directly, and see if he is evasive and judge him then.
In any case, is Dr Chee obliged to give any answer to you since he is not in Public Office, nor taking any of our money that we are not prepared to give ?

Holding back from exposing him will do the PAP no good... and if they do eventually do it they will face a backlash from the people who will easily see through this as an attempt to use Chee's foreign-funded antics to make themselves look good by ignoring such a basic electorial rule or are simply too incompetent to find out about it. Either way it serves them no good or confidence.
I seriously doubt with all their resources at hand they are unable to find any foreign dirt on Chee... in fact they often highlight his foreign connections... why stop at funds? Unless there was no dirt to be found at all?
Chee is not stupid as well, despite all the things we are told about him. He will know how to stir things up and get into trouble but to do that requires knowing the system in the first place. -
I used to be slightly more PAP inclined, but their actions in the Gomez incident made me start questioning their agendas...
I suspect CSJ does not mind playing the fool just to attract those foreign attention, and not to mention our local's attention. -

I think you are missing the point... the fallout from delaying to expose him will hurt the PAP and the public confidence in the system as well... and as for Chee he does not really care if he gets hurt does he not?
First and foremost, the public is well aware of the resources that the ruling party has at hand to conduct background checks on any electorial candidate, and to think they can miss out on such an obvious person like Chee either inspires a loss of confidence in the system to discover such lawbreakers or worse, lead to a disillusionment with the people in the government because they would realize that the ruling party was allowing its own laws to be breached just so they can use Chee.
Worse, if indeed Chee does gather enough support that they have to use such a method to get him out, the political fallout would be disasterous in terms of the unrest it will bring to Singaporeans at large. It is far safer to accuse him of something unrelated or discredit him in another way.
Either way it serves the PAP no good to keep such an obvious detail as part of their "final line of defence". Chee is only good them them when he appears to the people as a real joker that plays by the rules and gets trounced by them at every instant... not some foreign-funded conspiracy to overthrow Singapore. -

Personally I haven't met or spoken to CSJ, I don't think I can pass any judgement about him based on our media's portrayal of him.
