Yesterday I was approached by two different persons to donate to the President Star Charity.. I donated. It then strike me, why must there is a donation drive asking common folk to donate when the Presidents and the Cabinet minister is drawing hugh salary.. If a common folk salary is on average $1200 per month and donated $10, that would be about 0.83%. If the President and the Minister donate same percentage, there won't be a need to have this drive right ?? Please correct me if I am wrong.

One stiudents and one adult approached. I can't help but notice that the minimum donation amount is $5. Ridiculous, if you ask me.

All the money collected are from the stupid peasants.
Even the money collected from the big companies are donated by the staff, which are the peasants.

I DO NOT donate to charity organizations because this is exactly what the PAP wants - Outsource charity to the normal Singaporeans like you and I so that they don't need to use their super reserves to help the needy.
I do however, donate specifically to old folks or people that are selling tissues on the streets. -

well, they did mention, that all money goes directly to the charity.
not all charity raise funding campaign is as bad as NKF and beside, any sort of donation is of, free will, it doesn't matter, that you are a politician or a commoner. -

Seriously, no need any poetry recital, nor calligraphy performance, just sit on top of the dunking tank and......swoossshh.....splash!!!....thats for the ERP outside my house, .....swooossshh....splash!!!!........ and thats for raising the GST. The donation target will be reach in no time.

Ask them how is the fund be utilized, which charity organization will benefited from it, then ask them the details.
