PRs (FT) in IT command not low pay anymore. Since probably several years ago, they command the same pay as locals.
To put it clearer, my cousin is IT consultant. His pay is $7000 with 6 years experience. His colleague a PR indian with same years experience also command the same salary. They pay for rents, we pay our parents rents.
So, just want to point out that, based on my cousin's experience, its not true that PRs command lower salary. Case by case basis.
And he laments that in IT , its not that difficult or singaporeans cannot do. Its more that these FTs compete the same jobs as them and they can afford to compete at lower salary since when they go back, the cost of living in their hometown is cheaper, way cheaper. So, they earn way more here than back home.
I hope I have shared some useful info with those who did not yet know. -
