Yes, the govt allow and encourage them to come. Even in HDB flats you see many of them around. Yesterday, a foreign couple stood outside my unit and asked if we have any room for rental.Originally posted by maurizio13:Next time we will have Little Sri Lanka, Little Philippines, Little Burma, Little Indonesia, etc.
Small little enclaves for the citizens of other countries to congregate.
Can't blame them for coming in here to work, after all government approves of them coming in here.
I went to boat quay n it seemed to be dominated by many foreigners.Originally posted by qlqq9:Yes, the govt allow and encourage them to come. Even in HDB flats you see many of them around. Yesterday, a foreign couple stood outside my unit and asked if we have any room for rental.
Next time they won't say our "Singaporean lifestyle" anymore, have to make amendments for China, Indian, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.Originally posted by qlqq9:Yes, the govt allow and encourage them to come. that is why im in australia for good.Originally posted by joola74:Here is how i felt being a Singaporean.
When i started joinning this ABC company in Kallang Area, the person who interviewed me is a Malaysian HR lady. Her assistant is a Malaysian too.
After i landed on the job, i was under my superior who was a Singaporean. At last a local.I walk around and saw all the operators were either from China or Malaysia, Burma. The engineers were mostly from the Philipines and only two from Singapore who were also not a true local but a PR converted local.
And, the rest from Indonesia.
The M.S mostly Philipines too.Only one were locals. The rest from Malaysia.
Then the toliet cleaners..., from Sri Laka. And, the secrurity guards, from Malaysia too.
When i went back home, i often encounter China peoples be it inside the bus or when i take the lift. And, also alot of Philipines seems to land here in Singapore recently.
I wonder if i am living in a foriegn land or my own motherland sometimes.
This is really sickening because aint this supposed to be my own country???
Any experience you guys sharing in this thread?
there are lots of ghosts in Spore. Do u consider them as foreignersOriginally posted by norm:we are a global place. Some of our MPs are also malaysians. hey, our ancestors who landed in Spore were also once foreigners. We should consider ourselves as earthlings. The whole earth belongs to us. Why should we limit ourselves and be divided into different countries? There are only 2 worlds : life and death (the underworld).
In that case,it would be an even greater success if Ang Moh take over our PAP leaders rules.Originally posted by Mat Toro:This is good because Singapore started out as a land for foreigners too. We are going back to our immigrant roots again. Great success!

Look at it this way, weren't you lucky the Malaysian lady recruited you instead of accepting another Malaysian?Originally posted by joola74:Here is how i felt being a Singaporean.
