That was pretty c0cky ever since he win the 2006 elections.
He was talking to the young people of SG or future leaders of SG that they suck at politics.

However, they still have the right to try.
His government was formed based on high salaries that draws in a 1 sided-system.

i have friends/relatives who range from the top JCs who went overseas uni and decided not to come back to those who did not make it to local uni but now holding positions in MNCs or doing good business elsewhere.
my own bro-in-law could not make it in s'pore uni made good in UK. did his degree there, started his biz, now owns a GBP 700k beach house and a penthouse facing the big ben. last i heard he was considering buying a jag with his credit card. (credit limit???)
another gd friend did his degree in aust n migrated there, then now in UK working as physio. even b4 he got to UK, he was already offferd 3 posiitons in UK hospitals. He is considered talent everywhere but here because his chinese weak.
